Ahhh-love the time. Fall is coming and the leaves are starting to hint at some color-but not much. Just got back from dad’s funeral and thought that I would share some more of his thinking over the years.
The Man was brilliant.
One of his favorite sayings was, “Labor Day is everyday for those who want to succeed.”
That would be true.
Everyday we labor towards the goals we have set and the dreams in our heart. We must continue to persue the actions that will take us to a higher level that we aspire for.
My wife and I were watching a TV show last night (a rarity) and it was about the super rich. It was interesting as all said the same thing in a different way-they DECIDED to find a niche that had not been filled and then worked as hard as humanly possible.
THAT is what my father used to say-”Work as hard as you can-and then step it up. You will be glad you did.”
Wise words. And as we all celebrate Labor Day, we all need to look and ask this question:
“Do I need to STEP IT UP?”
The super rich special on MSNBC opened my eyes to a whole new level of thinking- and I teach this stuff. We all can learn from the super successful. One guy was worth about 400 million-and he said he was broke compared to some of his friends.
LOL- And money cannot make you happy-but it can help facilitate the emotion. LOL.
All have a wonderful Labor Day, and as Dad used to say, “Labor is a disease for the mediocre and a blessing to the Successful.”
