AGGGHHHHH!
Whether it is a customer, prospect, or a downline member, there are people that simply do not take action when they said they would.
Like when they are supposed to be on a conference call.
Like when they are supposed to be on a webinar.
They said they would show up for your PBR and they do not. Typical.

Or they promised you they would start working their business and you are still waiting.
Or even when they said they had filled out the paperwork and was ready to go- and you are still waiting- a week later. And you are still waiting…
AGGGHHH!
It can get so frustrating! What causes this delay? Why do people NOT do what they say they were going to do?
We have found there are 7 basic reasons why, and if you understand them, you can maneuver around them.
What are they?
1. Guilt -I just don’t want to do it.
This one is a biggie. They may feel guilty about success when no one has ever done that before in their family. You need to address the value they bring to the table and what they can truly do to improve others lives.
2. Inadequacy -I don’t know how to do it or I’m afraid -I won’t do it well.
This is simple insecurity. It is taken care of by REASSURING them that you will help them and be there for them. You assure them that they will learn all they need to know as you have done.
3. Fear -I’m afraid of what the outcome might be or I’m uncertain of the outcome.
Many people have the fear of the unknown. As a Leader, you need to paint a picture of where you are going and you are going to take them with you. TELL them what the outcome is- and the SHOW them pictures of people that are already there.
4. Irrelevant -It’s not important to me
If it’s not- then move on. Any questions? Many people change their minds and it is no longer important or a priority with them. Buh- Bye.
5. Time Management -I have plenty of time to get this done.
You need to create a Time frame that actions have to get done and you do the time frame with them. Give them homework assignments and when they are due. Baby step them into what needs to be done with a sense of urgency. Make deadlines with rewards at the end.
6. Perfectionism -I won’t be able to meet my high standards.
This is a hard one. Many perfectionists are hard to break the habit. The root of perfectionism is insecurity. Reassure them they are going to do a great job and it is better to create a “Perfection path” that you will walk together to make sure that they move closer to getting it perfect. At least then they are in motion.
7. Ambiguity -I’m not sure what needs to be done.
Be CRYSTAL CLEAR of what is expected, and what needs to be done. ALWAYS give step by step mlm trainings, and assignments. People like a trail to follow. Be totally clear on what and why it is expected.
Talk results too. Tell them this should be the results and you are going to help them obtain them.
This is how a Leader handles the delayer or procrastinator. NEVER let someone delay continually. If they do after doing what we have suggested…
Move on.
blessings…doug
